Setting
“Son of the Mob” takes place in New York. Vince Luca and his family live in Nassau County near the city of New York. It takes place in 2002. Vince’s father is the underworld king of organized crime. He disguises it as a vending-machine business called Brothers Vending Machines, Inc. Vince, as a child knew nothing about it and thought the business was legit. When he got older he started to realize the truth about his father’s dealings known as The Life. The story also takes place in Lower East side Manhattan, where two loan sharks own a club known as Return To Sender. It’s dark, filthy, and it has a repulsive odor as you descend down the steps. It smells like vomit and tobacco, glass litters the steps, and it seems more like a medieval dungeon than a bar.
